Sweet Williams Market

I am very excited, I have the chance to be a part of the Sweet Williams Market at the end of June. I hope that it will work out, I am getting things ready just in case they will let me have a space there.  This is my first time to do something like this.

Here are a few things that I will have there.

I have a few other things I am working on but they are not ready to photograph yet.  If you live in the Denver area and are free on the 28th of June come to the Sweet Williams Market in the Stapleton area.

The other good thing about this is I will be sharing the space with my niece Rachael. It's her space she is letting me join her. :) She is the one who has encouraged me to do this. She is the head honcho at Sparkly Jewels. So It should be a great day.

Table make over

My youngest daughter-in-law received this table from her father. He got it at a estate sale. It is beautiful but it needed a lot of work. She couldn't use it so she gave it to me. It was falling apart and needed a lot of TLC. I have lost the before picture but here how it turned out. I just love it.

It was fun to redo this table. I think it turned out so pretty.

I hope that you have a good evening. Now on to my next project.

Lights for the  porch.

Yesterday I did a project that was a spare of the moment thing. I had some left over small mason jars from my youngest sons wedding. We had put wires around them and hung them on the end of the chairs with candles in them. They were very pretty. So they have been sitting in my garage for a few years and I finally figured out how to use them.

I bought two sets of garden lights, with large bulbs, there were ten on a string. I added an extra wire to the top so I could clip the light bulb in. I had an old ladder that I could not quite figure out what to do with in my house. SO I put the two things together and.... This is what I have .

I am so proud of what I came up with. I just had Christmas lights up there before. Nothing wrong with that but I like this much better. I took this picture with my phone so it's not the best.  So I was on a roll and found some other old lights and then some bigger mason jars.

They really make the deck nice to sit on at night. Of course they look really nice when it's dark outside.

Here are some more pictures of the lights.

So I wonder what else I can do to my porch??? Like I said before I LOVE my porch. :)

Have a good week.

Here are some more things that I have been up to.

A couple of years ago my son, Tyson, and I built a porch swing for our deck. He is very handy and he helped me a lot in figuring out how to build it, it was fun working with him. :)
After finishing it I didn't like the top of the back rest so I ended up cutting it off. I painted it brown too.
Tyson taking a much deserved rest.

This past spring I recovered the cushions not only for my swing but the other deck chairs. I used ticking fabric. It really goes well with the brown

I made my own piping.

Every porch needs a swing for the grand kids. :)

This was a fun project for me. I love to sew. Here are some pictures of my porch.  I love this porch, it was one of the reasons we bought the house. I have a great view of the mountains and our back yard is so beautiful (thanks to my husband).

I hope that you have a good Sunday.

Blessings,

It been a long time from our last post. Andrea has a beautiful boy with another one due very soon. This one will make 3 grand children for me. I have been very busy with work, grand-kid sitting, playing with grand kids and working on my furniture. My husband and I have been working on our yard and stuff around the house. I will add pictures of all we have been up too.

So I will get started. I have been able to finish off several pieces.

Before
After

This desk was in good shape and so it was a quick turn over. Sorry the after picture is so bad.

This rocker was from my husbands mom
After.

Andrea and Cory ( my son) use this rocker now. It is fun to pass on family heirlooms.

That is all for tonight. Tomorrow I will try to catch up more with what I have been up to. I have some very fun stuff I have been working on.
I am still trying to work out how you do this blog thing so I hope that as time goes on things will look better. :)

Thanks for stopping by.
